{"id":5468,"date":"2015-11-06T16:38:09","date_gmt":"2015-11-06T16:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.buildingsmart.org\/?p=5468"},"modified":"2023-05-24T15:03:49","modified_gmt":"2023-05-24T14:03:49","slug":"buildingsmart-internationals-singapore-summit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.buildingsmart.org\/buildingsmart-internationals-singapore-summit\/","title":{"rendered":"buildingSMART International&#8217;s Singapore Summit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10833\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buildingsmart.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/singsummit_reduced.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"410\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.buildingsmart.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/singsummit_reduced.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.buildingsmart.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/singsummit_reduced-300x123.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.buildingsmart.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/singsummit_reduced-768x315.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In October, over one hundred experts\u00a0assembled in Singapore to work on the creation of world&#8217;s future open building and infrastructure data standards.<\/p>\n<p>Since the last working summit in London, 5 standards have been endorsed as buildingSMART Final Standards, and the number of initiatives in progress is healthier than ever with 27 Activities currently developing a broad range of new output.<\/p>\n<p>The key milestones achieved during the summit include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>24 nations attended 52 meetings<\/li>\n<li>Key note presentations from Autodesk, Trafikverket and Nemetschek Group set the tone on user expectations<\/li>\n<li>the Standards Committee Executive (SCE) agreed to put forward;\u00a0ISO IDM Standard,\u00a0mvdXML Trust in BIM deliverables and\u00a0IFC for LAND XML report as final standards and technical reports.<\/li>\n<li>A memorandum of understanding\u00a0between bSI, Trafikverket, Rijkwaterstat and Liikennevirasto (the Swedish, Dutch &amp; Finnish Traffic Agencies) was signed, ensuring funding\u00a0and leadership of new infrastructure initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>The Compliance Program finalised the proposal for the development of a buildingSMART accreditation scheme<\/li>\n<li>The Technical Executive model was progressed to ensure harmonization across all the initiatives to providing\u00a0consistent and quality output worthy of the bSI brand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Focus on <em>what the User needs<\/em> was a key theme throughout the week and significant strides in improved leadership and\u00a0coordination strategies were made.<\/p>\n<p>The full set of resolutions and presentations from the summit are posted at Standards Summit Program.<\/p>\n<p>The list of standards work is to be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buildingsmart.org\/standards\/activities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Activities<\/a> page.<\/p>\n<p>buildingSMART International is very grateful to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buildingsmartsingapore.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Singapore\u00a0Chapter<\/a> and their sponsors for the excellent organisation and hospitality that ensured this summit was such a \u00a0great success.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to join us at our next Summit in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buildingsmart.org\/event\/standards-summit-benelux\/\">April 2016 in the Netherlands<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In October, over one hundred experts\u00a0assembled in Singapore to work on the creation of world&#8217;s future open building and infrastructure data standards.
