Please follow this <a href=\"https:\/\/app.box.com\/s\/kswgkusydk765doj454ojeev181pt7fs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">link<\/a> to view the Final Project Plan. The vote closes on 18th September 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Note that, IFC 4.3.2.0, the current ISO standard version of the Industry Foundation Classes, was finalized and published as an international standard ISO 16739-1:2024.<\/p>\nWithin IFC 4.3, three implementation levels of Model View Definitions (MVDs) have been identified by buildingSMART International:<br \/>\n\u2022 The Reference View (RV), which remains unchanged from the RV for IFC 4, and is already considered final.<br \/>\n\u2022 The Design Transfer View (DTV), for which there is currently no significant market demand.<br \/>\n\u2022 The Alignment Based View (AbV), which was developed through an open and transparent process and is now ready for formal publication.\nThe AbV is a mere selection of concept templates; since the (general) usages are already defined in the ISO publication. The use-case or project specific exchanges are published in UCM on top of the base MVDs.<br \/>\nWhile the selection of the AbV content has been done through industry wide public consultation, formal publication requires that the work be submitted through the official bSI project process, which is now happening.
