It was bought by Arcadis where I worked as their City Executive and Country Head for Singapore. I subsequently joined Surbana Jurong , heading their Digital Management Office and Sustainability &amp; Resilience Office as well as a Senior Director in the Group CEO&#8217;s Office. Just this year in 2023, I joined Meinhardt as their Global Board Member and the COO of the Singapore Operations. I hold the post of Senior Director, Group CEO&#8217;s Office for Special Projects.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024 July, I decided to start my own practice on Project Management and Cost and Contract Management and opened a company called DLS Consultancy Pte Ltd as the Chief Executive Office. DLSC standard for Deliver, Lead, Success, Collaborate&#8221; &#8211; really what BSI stands for in Open BIM and Interoperability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How long have you been involved in openBIM and buildingSMART<\/strong>? Since 2017<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you like the most about your work in your chapter<\/strong>? The networking and the cascading of knowledge on Open BIM and various standards in the Digital realm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The greatest success achieved within your chapter<\/strong>? The participation in IFC SG.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What does openBIM mean to you<\/strong>? It means the breaking down of barriers for proprietary programs and use of cost effective BIM authoring tools<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the biggest challenge the community is facing today<\/strong>? Buy in and understanding the need for standardisation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What challenges do you encounter in your country<\/strong>? Adoption of IFC SG and the use in CORENET X<\/p>\n<p><strong>What are the main opportunities for your market<\/strong>? Singapore is seen as a test bedding place and a springboard to various South East Asian Countries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Digitalization is more and more present today; what do you do in your chapter to meet the challenges it poses<\/strong>: \u00a0It means more onboarding, knowledge sharing and seminars on Open BIM and the benefits of Interoperability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What vision, as a chapter leader, would you give to the whole community<\/strong>? Be bold to try and be trial blazers In the name of Interoperability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is your overall vision of the future<\/strong>? Change is a constant and we need to be agile, but don&#8217;t let technology dictate you.
