{"id":27263,"date":"2023-09-12T15:00:51","date_gmt":"2023-09-12T14:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.buildingsmart.org\/?p=27263"},"modified":"2023-09-12T15:00:51","modified_gmt":"2023-09-12T14:00:51","slug":"ifc-4-3-enters-the-fdis-phase-of-the-iso-process","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.buildingsmart.org\/ifc-4-3-enters-the-fdis-phase-of-the-iso-process\/","title":{"rendered":"IFC 4.3 Enters the FDIS Phase of the ISO Process"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n\r\n\t<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.buildingsmart.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/web-IFC-post.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"816\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>London, (September 12, 2023)<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; buildingSMART International is pleased to announce\u00a0ISO\u00a0has agreed to submit IFC 4.3 to the final &#8220;FDIS&#8221; approval stage as part of the ongoing process to have it internationally accredited as an\u00a0ISO\u00a0standard.<\/p>\r\n<p>To reach FDIS (Final Draft International Standard), IFC 4.3 was formally entered into the DIS (Draft International Standard) voting phase for\u00a0ISO\u00a0on February 20 2023, which concluded in a round of improvements and amendments to the IFC schema relating to IFC 4.3 and related extensions. Following work to address the comments lodged as part of the DIS process, bSI is delighted that\u00a0ISO\u00a0has now approved IFC4.3 to progress to this last FDIS phase of the process.<\/p>\r\n<p>Clive\u00a0Billiald, Chief Executive, buildingSMART commented, &#8220;We are delighted to have moved to the Final Draft International Standard phase for IFC 4.3 accreditation. This is a result of hard work not only from\u00a0ISO\u00a0members helping us to improve the body of work but also from our technical team, who dealt with a large volume of comments and suggestions.
